Goodbye P6

This year we’re going to say goodbye to 22 students, including 5 members of our newspaper committee. As one of the leaving students, I feel that going away from Kingston, the school that I’ve been in since I was one, will be one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced. It feels like losing a part of myself, because I may never see these friends again. Maybe we even won’t remember each other when we pass on the street. Plus, about a month later we will be going to different schools. What we’re going to worry most about is fitting in and finding the right friends. And I promise, we will miss you all too. Happy (Or maybe sad) graduation, P6s!

The Mermaid’s Tail Written by Jasmin Yeung A long, long time ago, there was a restaurant called Hope. Inside the restaurant there was a waitress named Jewel, and a cook named Diamond. The restruant was very busy and there were too many people and too much work for one cook and waitress. So, they decided to hire another cook and waitress. They got a new cook, also named Jewel. Her food tasted so good! It was better than Diamond’s cooking! They also got another waitress, and her name was Beauty, but she was very bad and stole all the food. Jewel, Diamond and Jewel knew that Beauty was bad. They went outside the kitchen, and saw that all the mermaids were... dead! But there was a good fairy named Stella, who made the mermaids alive again with a pinch of fairy dust. Stella said, “If you want food, take all you need, Jewel.” Later, while diamond and Jewel were cooking, there was a bright flash, and Stella came. “Quick!” she said. “We must get out of this restaurant!” Suddenly Beauty’s ghost came. She said, “There must be the magic jewel here!” When they saw the ghost, they realized the magic jewel was on one of the cardboard trees that the children made. Jewel went to grab it, but the ghost was too fast and snatched it out of Jewel’s hand before she knew it. Diamond said, “Let’s play a game!” The ghost came over to play with them. When the ghost wasn’t looking, Jewel took it back and gave it to Stella. Stella put it in her magic pocket and all the food came! They were so happy that they had a party. THE END
